TYLER M. BERZIN

Tyler M. Berzin MD, MS, FACG, FASGE is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship training program at BIDMC. Dr. Berzin has authored over 200 articles and chapters on all aspects of GI endoscopy ranging from anesthesia safety to new innovations in interventional endoscopy. His work has been published in Lancet, NEJM, Gut, and Nature BME. Dr Berzin’s efforts in artificial intelligence applications for GI endoscopy, which began as a collaboration with MIT colleagues in 2014, has led to several of the first U.S. and international trials on computer-aided polyp detection, and subsequent FDA approval of this technology.
