Pierre Deprez is Professor of Gastroenterology at the Université Catholique de Louvain and Head of the Endoscopy Clinic in the Hepato-GI department at Cliniques universitaires St-Luc. He graduated in 1986, completed GI specialization in 1991, and was further trained in Germany, France, UK, USA, India and Japan. He has authored / co-authored more than 200 peer reviewed publications and textbook chapters. He is past-president of EGEUS. His clinical and research interests focus on pancreatology and interventional endoscopy, particularly related to EUS, ERCP and EMR/ESD procedures. He was one of the pioneers in interventional EUS reporting the first EUS guided pancreatic rendez-vous and combining EUS with ERCP in the EUCP concept.
